Bomba CA 150R

The CA 150R equipment is part of our line of centrifugal pumps unassailable centrifuges.

Series CA

The equipment has axial suction and tangential discharge and cantilever impeller that allow passage of large suspended solids. The impeller of these centrifugal pumps can be of the closed type or open type of swirl or vortex type. The greatly oversized bearings housed in a robust support are grease lubricated in the standard version and oil lubrication with a level indicator is optional. All CA series centrifugal pumps have vent and drain connections.

The videos show the equipment testing in our new test bench at the Berazategui Industrial Park plant.

Ductile Iron – Vast Reliability and Productivity Advantages

Having finished in December 2022 the pCommissioning of our new industrial plant, we continue with our plans continuous improvement. With this objective, we are implementing a change in the construction material of our centrifugal pump bodies. sayings bodies which until now had been built in gray cast iron according to ASTM A48 CLASS 30, become of nodular gray cast iron according to ASTM A395 CLASS 60-40-18, which has many advantages.

In gray cast iron, carbon precipitates in the form of graphite. Its shape and size have a great influence on the mechanical properties of the casting.

The graphite appears in the form of sheets, this generates discontinuities in the metallic matrix acting as strong stress concentrators, resulting in a brittle material. for his part ductile iron precipitates graphite in a spheroidal form and is concentrated in volumes, which favors the elimination of discontinuities in the metallic matrix. This difference in the way graphite is precipitated between both materials, gives as a result that NODULAR cast iron is a material with greater ductility, high resistance to fatigue and better behavior at high operating temperatures.

Likewise, the nodular gray cast iron provides better machining conditions so the presence of graphite nodules act as a self-lubricant. This material presents a good behavior under vibratory stress since it allows them to be attenuated and presents a better performance in terms of fluid tightness, these motifs are of great interest to the application of this material in our centrifugal pump bodies.

Nodular iron allows to obtain mechanical properties similar to those of cast steel and superior to gray cast iron:

Mechanical properties tensile strength MPa Elastic modulus MPa
Cast Iron ASTM A48 214 90-113
Nodular Gray Cast Iron ASTM A395 414 120-132

Our centrifugal pump casings made of nodular gray cast iron are machined in our new HAAS VF4 machining center, which allows us to perform operations quickly, safely, accurately and with less cutting tool wear.

New HAAS Multiaxis CNC in the drilling process

This change allows us increase the reliability of our centrifugal pumps, providing our customers with higher quality equipment without increasing their cost.

New Entry of Stock of Equipment and Spare Parts ANSIMAG – (Magnetic Coupling)

At Drotec we know that maintaining a Optimal stock of equipment and spare parts, it's a fundamental factor to provide our customers with quality service.

In this note, we show you our Current stock of ANSIMAG Magnetic Coupling pumping equipment and spare parts.

Since 1994, Drotec distributes in Argentina magnetically coupled centrifugal pumps brand Ansimag, part of the SUNDYNE group, without seals or gaskets, completely hermetic, free of losses and emissions.

Its innovative design allows pumping with great safety and under conditions of very heavy duty all kinds of corrosive liquids, among others, sulfuric, hydrochloric, hydrogen sulfide, nitric, phosphoric, chromic acids and sodium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite, solvents, ferric chloride, hydrogen peroxide, etc.

The standard materials in contact with the liquid to be pumped are ETFE (Tefzel), FKM (Viton) and Silicon Carbide for bushings and shafts. This set of materials allows handling the vast majority of corrosive liquids. As an alternative, PFA is offered instead of ETFE and Teflon Gore-Tex instead of Viton.

New Factory in PIBERA Complex

We are ready to inaugurate the new Industrial Factory located in the Berazategui Industrial Complex. The project started in 2015 with the vision of a new Factory that allows us to fully develop our lines of equipment and accessories for the safe and reliable pumping of industrial fluids.

The new plant has 1600 m2 built between factory, workshops, dining rooms and changing rooms.

The plant has a new test pit, with control and report boards and sensors, to be able to test our equipment with maximum reliability.

We will be announcing the opening date shortly!

Thank you for being part of this great family.
